  • How do I start services with you?
Before we proceed to scheduling your intake appointment. It will be important to talk briefly about your reasoning for reaching out for services and your clinical needs. This may be by telephone or email. Although we may be a great interpersonal therapeutic match, I am not always able to provide the level of services needed for certain clinical needs. Additionally, this may apply to certain diagnoses or mental health issues that are not in my area of expertise or scope of practice. A decision to not book an intake session and refer you to another resource or provider is by no means a negative reflection or personal affront on yourself. Above all else, I strive to do no harm and direct clients to the best possible service for them. If we determine to initiate services together, I will gather some information during this call to make your chart and to set up an intake appointment.
  • Do you take Insurance?
Yes! I am currently contracted with Optum, Tufts, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Evernorth (Cigna) and Aetna. I am in the process of credentialing with Carelon (Beacon). Please make sure to double check with your insurance that I am an in-network provider for you or inquire into out of network benefits offered to you by your insurance company.
  • I don't like talk therapy. Can you still help?
I am classically trained musician and I appreciate the power and connection the arts bring to therapeutic process. With clients, I may incorporate play therapy, music, art or any other specific client interests to use as conduits in helping clients achieve their goals.
  • Do you offer Telehealth appointments?
Yes, during our initial screening phone call, we will discuss if Telehealth is an appropriate treatment modality for you moving forward based on your needs. Even though our services may start out Telehealth, there may be situations where an in-person visit is required due to insurance or state guidelines/ requirements. Additionally, there is a Telehealth consent form that will be sent for you to sign. Full practice policies can be found under the Policies tab on the website and is titled: Client Service Agreement
  • What COVID-19 precautions are you taking?
Massachusetts has lifted the COVID-19 public health emergency on 5/11/2023. Although the mask mandates have been lifted, I do ask the following requests for in-person clients: If you are currently experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or test positive, I ask that you switch your visit to telehealth. If you are feeling sick but do not exhibit COVID symptoms and would like to attend your in-person session, I ask that you wear a mask and I will do so too. I will have masks available in the office.
  • Do you prescribe controlled substances?
Yes. I may prescribe a controlled substance with your consent only after a thorough assessment has been conducted to show that it is a clinically appropriate treatment plan for your needs. For more questions regarding prescription or other practice question, full practice policies can be found under the Policies tab on this website and is named: Client Services Agreement. This document will be signed as part of the intake process.
